The Recycling Plan
Our plan is to collect and recycle all the stainless steel required to make the sculpture from the residents and businesses in St. Albans. With a little application the very substance of the art itself can be provided by us all. This would save some £60K, the cost of buying ingots. We rather like the idea, just like the Cathedral which was built using Roman bricks which were already 1000 years old. And, best of all, everyone who participates can look at the sculpture and think, my old saucepan is in there somewhere.
